I agree with Amma, you got it working, girl-friend and just go forward.

My Ex always wondered why I HAD to have 3 machines set up all the time, ( my new husband understands completely!)He just didn't understand the beauty of having a each machine set up to do a specific task in such a small space ( 10x10); 1 for peicing, another to quit, and one to bind, The rolling chair is a must! I also got rid of the carpet in my sewing room, although I do tend to drag thread, and little snippets all over the house now.... small price to pay

I had a sewing room when I lived in AZ. Two sewing machines always up and a serger.

Now I just have the corner of my bedroom. I cut on the table in the dining room and have only one machine and my serger on a folding table in the bedroom. Maybe I should get out my daughter's machine and put the serger away. I don't use it as often.

I have two set up also. One for piecing and the other for quilting. It was aggravating changing feet and dropping feed dogs etc. and i had two,so why not. I love it!

Is there any chance you would let us see your sewing room? You know how it is....the grass must always be greener! :D

Sure, I'm flattered that anyone would want to see my little space. The people I interact with on a daily basis are only interested in my quilting if it's a gift for them.

It's always fun to see other people's work areas, thank you for being brave enough to post pictures. You can't see the surface on anything in my sewing room right now. It got full of things from cleaning the downstairs for Christmas company. Now that Christmas is over, I need to tackle that room.

I love the idea of having two sewing machines set up in one room. I have been a die-hard Janome lover since I got my first one about 12 years ago (I have a Jem also). I love both Janome machines. Well, I went to Vermont Quilt Festival this year and took a class where a local quilt shop provided Bernina 440 sewing machines for the class. I did some stippling on it and OMG, did it do a wonderful job. I get loops on the bottom using my Janome machine. I know that changing the tension will help, but why do that when a Bernina can do a fantastic job with no adjustments! So now I have a Bernina machine on my wish list to do machine quilting. :-)

Oh how I wish this room had a closet! my fabric is stored in old kitchen cabinets I found on the side of the road.
I dragged my sweet husband out in a snow storm after dark to get them before anyone else picked them up. He never quite understands my need to dumpster dive, but he doesn't stop me either. all the furniture in that room came off the curb over the last 10 years; If I squint my eyes, it almost looks like some one designed it...shabby cheap..
