Variegated Quilting Cotton thread?

I use Valdani thread and like it. As for lint...don't care if it makes lint or not. You just have to clean your machine more often if it's linty and less often if it doesn't. What I am interested in is the strength, stretchiness (whatever that term is) whether they use one long thread or joined the thread on the cones with a Knot. That one reallly bugs me.I've had the "better thread" have more than one knot in the spool. I don't buy those again.

I love the King Tut from Superior threads, YLI, both of which are a 40 weight or a little heavier thread. I also use Signiture thread on my mid arm and its a 50 weight, same weight I use for piecing. I wouldn't use a varigated thread for SID where it isn't going to show because the varigated is always more expensive. Save it for where it will show.
