I hope to post a pic of my "If Mary was a Quilter" Tuesday. Should finish it today and start cleaning my studio tomorrow.

Wow! Folks have already gotten lots done! Love the crazy quilt with lace, Maceybaby!

no sewing for me yesterday since it was farrier day at the barn. Between traffic getting to barn, then trim and shoes for both horses + long wait for vet to show up after 30 year old horse (Tinker) suddenly began having eye discharge from his only eye (it ended up being ok, no ulcer thank goodness!) we didn't get back home until late in the day.

I have several quilty things planned for the rest of the weekend: 1. finish the August columns on my temperature quilt and get them attached to the quilt. 2. Rip out small area of quilting from the collaborative project I was working on last VQW and re-quilt that section , then do some hand beading on it. 3. Add hanging sleeves to the 3 other collaborative pieces that are now finished. 4. Go through my UFO pile and decide which one to complete in order to meet my September goal-- I'm on the UFO challenge and my goal for this year was to complete 12 UFOs, one each month.

Default Binding a I-spy baby quilt today!

Thank you RaggieMom for the reminder to keep working on Wip. It is more fun to work on and share with other quilters our progress! If others find they are short on time this weekend, just do 1 thing quilty...like touch your fabric.

I am going to a Sew Day with my quilt guild that happens the first Saturday of each month. We can sew or just stop in to visit. I am getting ready to bind a baby quilt!

I will be making curtain valances for a couple of Windows in our townhome which we will be moving into in a few months; but I will also work on embroidery blocks for a quilt project I started some time ago. Happy quilting everyone!

Cool! I've been on a Craftsy marathon all week and have saved some favorites. I'll just watch them for free on Monday. I'll have to get up super early so that I'll also get the free bandwidth that my provider offers before 7AM. Otherwise, I'll run out after the first couple of clips. Thanks for posting this!

Harvey is reeking water havoc in center of nation. In California it's record temperatures and wild fires. I've been inside most of the day and my eyes still hurt. One time today while outside I could see where the fire was burning, it was that close. And the heat is to last 2 more days, before we'll finally get a 10 degree drop. It'll still be in the triple digits.
Please stay safe and stay indoors. It's really hot and smoky up here in Mendocino county too, but we're not in any immediate danger. It's a good weekend to hunker down with your sewing machine and fury "sewing assistants."

Working on these 2 UFOs, both of which I will probably donate to charity.

If they pass inspector Trixie's rigorous testing.
