    sewingpup--that is a big quilt!

Nesie--it's never too late to join us

Kindascrappy--good luck finishing your sister's quilt in time

I left the retreat before lunch. I finished another charity top and have some folded star potholders ready to stitch down. It was a very productive weekend for me as my back can attest!

If there is interest, I will do a couple "special edition VQWs". One over US Thanksgiving (Nov 23-26) and a New Year's one (Dec 29-Jan 1). Just let me know if anyone is interested.

Now I get to unpack and put everything away. I'm taking On the Go by Annie class on 11/21 so I need to do the homework for that class this week. Then I can finish off a couple of the projects from retreat.

    Will check back in later.

Well, I seem to be putting off getting the binding on my Ugly monster flannel quilt. I think wrestling that thing off my long arm, then trimming the edges even though my sister helped with that, done did me in! Just haven't had the push to think of wrestling it around on my sewing cabinet and under my machine to get the binding on. Yep, I am doing by machine. Now having second thought if will fit in my top loader machine. It doesn't have an agitator and it is just a 4.8 (a 4.8 what I can't remember) Will it even be big enough? Oh, I used 80/20 batting in it. It does get cold up here in northern Minnesota. Uff Dahhh!

Alone at last….haha…actually it has been a great weekend, with lots of family time. I did manage to finish the hand embroidery on this Santa Sack project. Now I just need to read the pattern to figure out how to trim and then cut the rest of the sack, and stitch!

Well, I only managed to get 2 of the 6 blocks needed to start putting the Jewel Box Star top together. But I did manage to do some hand sewing on my hexies and I did start on the first row on my Jewel Box Star.

Raggiemom, a holiday VQW sounds good to me.

I almost got all the rows sewn. Attended a birthday party and had to stop sewing with only 2 rows of blocks left to sew into actual rows. So close! Thanks for hosting another great VQW. And yes, I would enjoy a holiday session.

Great! One of them should help me finish these. I got a nice amount done last night before my eyes said it's time for bed. It's amazing how much just sitting while driving tires one out as you get older,
