I'm sewing 280 quarter square triangles today, it's slow going because they are so tiny. I'm making a Sharon Schamber pattern called Hearts and Apron Strings and she certainly loves small pieces in her quilts.

Thanks Battleaxe, that might have to be made before next Christmas.

I finished two Christmas wall hangings today and sandwiched a lap quilt to work on tomorrow. It was my husband's birthday today so had to spend some time with him!

Watson, I don't know if I would go blind doing that but I would go crazy!

The first 2 of 56 blocks I'll be making during this VQW. I'm looking forward to reading what everyone else is working on!

Note to self: A. buy fabric that the right side and the wrong side are not so close.
    B. remember to mark the wrong side of the fabric.
    C. try to get one pin in the two pieces you just pulled off the design wall. Remembering on the way
to the sewing machine doesn't work anymore.

    Love it Christine.

I need to attach a label (that has been sitting for 3 days) onto a wedding quilt so that we can FedEx it to the happy couple who have decided to get married in Calgary, Alberta on Dec. 31st!! Arggggh Calgary in winter, airline flights at some of their highest rates, not to mention hotels able to charge the max. Really wish we could afford to go but somehow the thought of a week in the sun in February sounds like a much better use of our vacation fund.

Thanks so much for holding this VQW! I just finished all my running around collecting stuff for the big Christmas day, so I'm free to quilt until 12/23 when I pick up my son. Then I'm really busy until 12/26. I'm saving the baking and candy making as that's going to be fun projects for us on the 23th and 24th. Daughter and her dog comes on the big day for the dinner. I am going to be cleaning the house on the days after that.

So, until the 23rd I'll be doing the hand binding on the 5 remaining baby quilts for donation. If there isn't a VQW on New Year, I'll have my own private one.

Happy quilting everybody! And a very merry Christmas!!

    Beautiful fabric!

picked up one quilt and am hand binding it now. I like to watch good shows I’ve seen before so I don’t have to actually watch the tv to follow the story. Tonight it’s game of thrones.

I'm hoping to at least peek in to see what everyone is working on. I am trying to finish two tutus for my granddaughters. Then will make progress on the Quiltville mystery.

Get to join in tomorrow. Then, oh my, what a pitty, can't be here for the rest. Must go camping with dd and sil & dh. We get them all to ourselves for 2 days and nights.

Working on microwave bowl pads and making a back for another quilt.
