    Default Virtual Quilting Weekend--2/15-2/18/19

Welcome to the Presidents Day Virtual Quilting Weekend. Since I am going grocery shopping in the morning, I'll start the thread tonight. I have ambitious plans for the weekend--I have a few quilts to finish and several blocks for various BOMs to catch up on. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is working on this weekend.

Next month's VQW will be 3/15-3/17.

    Good day everyone.

My goals this weekend; 1= complete my purple and blue/green BHMQ blocks and make all of the border blocks. 2= make 20 blocks for 365 day challenge. 3 = quilt Olaf quilt. 4= cut out a bom Block. 5 = Cut out train quilt, 6 = cut out 2.5” blocks for a swap. 7 = quilt a baby quilt. 8 = finish a ufo small valentine w/h. That should keep me busy for 4 days, plus some.

I'm in! My goals are 1. Finish sewing the last 70 inches of binding on this quilt.

    2. Put this on the rack and get it quilted for sure and hopefully get the binding on.

This one I finished the Monday after the last VOW. These are for my 3 grands in Alaska.

Great! This is a perfect VQW for me! It's going to rain all this weekend and all next week! Perfect to stay home and quilt!

I still have one baby quilt to finish... from the 8 tops I sandwiched on the last VQW. I got kind of bored after hand-sewing the bindings on the other 7 of them.

Then I can start something new.... more tops? some crib sheets? I don't know yet, but I'll be sewing something as fast as I can.

    Thanks for the invitation!

I’m off tomorrow, so I have a 4-day weekend! I won’t be able to sew much on Saturday due to a pre-ride for a motorcycle ride in 1 week to benefit breast cancer research. I’m a road captain (leader) so I have to be on the pre-ride. I plan to sew tomorrow to make up for Saturday. I’m going to sew together the rows of my Surprise Pinwheels quilt & work on my art quilt. I’ll have to jump off the fabric Moratorium if I sandwich & quilt the SP. I have nothing suitable for the backing.

I've been stuck in the house for the past week with our Seattle snow storm, so no guarantees, but I do have a couple of projects going and the hubby is going to have to work on Saturday so they can make up for the snow days -- he made it in each day but not everyone did.

I do definitely feel the need to get out a bit tomorrow!
