Will pop in to see what everyone else is working on. It is too nice outside to work on anything inside and since it has been so dry these past few weeks, I am constantly watering my large vegetable garden.

I’m in for at least a little bit. I am ready to bind and label the Hunter’s Star I’ve been working on for what seems like ages. After that’s done, I will start quilting the log cabin I made for my husband. I have an idea for the quilting that I’m not sure if I will do. He loves Superman so I’m thinking of quilting the emblem in the center and then echoing the diamond shape to the edges of the quilt. I will probably do some ditch quilting to stabilize it beforehand. We shall see.

I’m looking forward to seeing all the other projects this weekend!

QuiltingVagabond, your pumpkin bordered quilt is just lovely!

Checking in to see all your progress!

I'm sewing the binding onto the RWB table topper. Then to piece the backing pieces for Dgrandson's dinosaur quilt. It will go the LA next week. I may add one more project into the mix and work on finishing the quilt that uses FQ for 9 inch blocks. Just need a few more blocks. That would get the UFO out of the pile.

Hope you are having fun stitching!

Vegabond, that is gorgeous, the the black and white check.
This VQW snuck up on me. I did sew today though. I am working on 17 fall jelly roll table runners. I am sewing the tubes right now, 7 done, 10 more to go. Then it's onto zigzagging them into the actual table runner.

Happy Birthday, Quilting Shorttimer!

Thank you for the VQW, Raggiemom.

I will continue trying to get my scrappy top finished. Today I finished assembling the center and have the 9 patch border to do. I like it a lot better than a drawer full of pieces. I cut some of these squares over 10 years ago!

I made a welders cap for my granddaugher Kallie today. Helped my Daugher thread a sewing machine she got at a garage sale for five dollars. It's a Singer Athana from 1975. Anybody got one? Thimblebug 6000 hope my free motion quilting will look as good as yours when I get to learning free motion quilting. Quiltingvagabon love that quilt with the pumkins.

I love seeing/hearing about the projects being worked on during these VQWs.

I almost missed this VQW. I was thinking it was next weekend.

For several years, I would get frustrated with my scraps and overwhelmed with donations from my church group and would throw them in a bin. Well, the fabric outgrew that bin plus a few more so I have been trying to tame the scraps. I am sorting by color basically but pulling out the strips and squares. I also need to finish clearing off my ironing/cutting tables so I can cut the fabric for the GEDesign sew along on Sunday.

I did sew a little today. I have been more into the organizing/cleaning part of quilting than the sewing part. I think I still have the same quilt top on my design wall from last VQW.

Minnesota had some bad storms go through today. My brother-in-law had a tornado touch down about 150 feet from their modular home. I’m so thankful they are ok. Lots of tree damage though. Damage in many parts of the state. We were supposed to get high winds but went both directions around us. Blessed indeed.

I finished making the missing sub-units for the Frolic UFO yesterday. Today I will be cutting neutral squares and combing all the bits and parts into bags for each block. Organization was such an effort with this project! Had to buy all sorts of clips and things, think the easiest thing today is just to buy a box of sandwich bags from the Dollar Store, and then I can write a number on each bag and don't have to keep re-counting.

That's the goal for today, any sewing would be bonus.

While I prefer to chain sew/assembly line all of a step at a time, with this project both my original time through and on this 2nd time, I think it's easier to go block by block. Yesterday with the red/blue units, I really could only deal with about 4 sets at a time without getting confused.
