I started a DP quilt in my kaleidoscope pattern. The 2 pieces are pinned, and now all 80 pieces need to be stitched and pressed.

Good morning, everyone

Off to a good start this morning, got up, washed my hair, cut some Muslin for sister's quilt, considering going ahead and working up the binding now because to me, it's a tedious part of the project that I always dread. If I do it now, then it's off the checklist and I won't have to contend with it again until I'm ready to put it on the quilt.

Also considering a big pitcher of iced coffee. Won't be ready for a little while, but would be good to have later, lol

Very inspiring again! sewbizgirl, love your scrappy! A beautiful morning here, will get a nice long walk in before settling at the machine again. Have a great day!

The weather is so nice, I'm out on my back patio sewing on my Featherweight, making String blocks. I finally couldn't jam one more string into the drawer, so I figured it was time to start making up some blocks. I make them into HST's with a soft grey fabric on the other side.
It's so quiet...Just me, the sewing machine and the crickets!

Everyone's projects are so pretty. Especially like your border on your pumpkin quilt Vagabon.

It’s finally finished! VQW is certainly a great motivator. Here is my completed Hunter’s Star.

That's a gorgeous Hunter's Star, MicheleC!

I'm working on the borders to a UFO this weekend - its a hexagon quilt I'm machine piecing, started in 2012 (ahem). I got so far and then got stuck on the borders, lol! The centres are Paddington themed fabric that I actually bought from one of the members here.

Love seeing and hearing what everyone else is doing

It is incredibly hot here today...about 105-110 degrees. :::sigh::: I'm not going to get much done today. I brought my quilt top (Bonnie Hunter's, "Sister's Choice,") downstairs, where it is cooler, so I could start sandwiching it. I am using Elmer's School Glue for the first time to baste it. I'm also using a bottle, with a roller on it to dispense the glue. It was recommended on the QB by some very, wise person, who's handle I can't remember...sorry. The bottle and glue works great! I added a little water to the glue to make it go a bit further and help it spread evenly. I like the way it's working. However, I'm almost out of glue, so I'll have to complete the sandwich tomorrow, after I go to town to shop.

I also have a Christmas pillow to sew up, but that is going to have to wait. It's just tooo hhhooootttt!

I'll try to post a pic of the top later. Everyone else's stuff looks fantastic!
