Greetings Virtual Quilters! This month I am working on the Purple quilt, it's a very simple project of a tesselating pinwheel design. So far I've selected the fabrics (there will be 42 different purples plus a 43rd for the border, and about 15 different white on whites) and cut and done all of the the initial seams. I then put on the next step, but I ran out of pins about halfway through. Yesterday I sewed the next step on all the border pieces, that should give me enough pins to finish this stage on the block units. The good news is once these white-on-whites are pinned on and sewn, the rest of it will be a piece of cake.

A lot of pressing ahead of me for today that's my least favorite part so I will remind myself that I'm surrounded by virtual quilters and having a good time!

Should be able to get a picture of one of the block units in a bit. Hubby has the camera somewhere...

I want to use this weekend to clean my studio!!!!!!!!!!! It is a mess, I have been ill since last September and finally feel up to hitting this area. Stuff just got placed anywhere and everywhere while I was not able to take care of it--now is the time to put it all away!

Just finished putting together 48 blocks from Missouri Star's Rick Rack pattern. Have it up on my design wall deciding if I have the blocks arranged pleasantly before I start to put the rows together. I always wait for my sister to show up to make suggestions. Once its put together I need to get busy quilting some tops as I'm 11 behind not counting this one I might finish this weekend.

Me too! Is anyone doing the Baskets, Birds, and Blooms from Piecing the Past Stitchers of Debbie Thompson McInnis from Washington State? I've got the alternate blocks done and some of the blooms. She has not given us the instructions for the baskets or the birds.

My phone died and so my new phone is too smart for me to do pictures yet. I'll get there.

Hey Snooze2978 - I am also working on Jenny’s ric-rac pattern!!! I love it. It makes me happy! You are way ahead of me... I had a good start on it then granddaughter wanted a pillow and grandson wanted his jeans mended! Plus a finish on a baby quilt.... Maybe I will get to get back on it this weekend.... I only have 16 squares done.....

I’ll be finishing up 2 quilts I’m making for the Colorado Pet Pantry auction on May 3rd. I promised my daughter I’d mail them out Monday or Tuesday.

I'm making two penquin quilts for niece and nephew who I will be visiting in Oakland at the end of may. Sewing on binding on one now and hope to pick up the backing for the other one and get started on quilting it this weekend. I will post pictures later today

    I've been waiting for this.

It's sunny and warm today and I'm off work, so doing just a bit more hand quilting on a memory quilt. Cleaning the sewing room and getting a few donation quilt put together. Just DH and I for Easter so don't have distractions of cleaning the rest of the house.
