I also picked up a sewing machine I had to take in for repair. It is my travel machine that got tossed in the trunk of the car when I went around a corner. And it was inside a sewing trolly at the time! Lesson learned, it cost me $140 to have it fixed. I don't know what I'm going to do about tying the machine down, there really isn't anything to hook onto in the back of the car. I have to figure out something though so it doesn't happen again.

Love that 9 patch quilt, Christine. It's definitely cool enough for a teenage boy to love it.

I set mine on the seat and hook the seatbelt around them.

Making progress on my scrap blocks. Today had to take a detour and sew with my granddaughter but that's She is five and loves being in my sewing room with me. I am not about to say no. I need someone interested in all my sewing supplies and stash.
Sorry to read about the delay in adoption. Keeping you in my prayers for a happy ending very soon.

Quiltingshorttimer - so sorry to hear of the delay but you're right. He has been your grandchild for a long time. Enjoy your weekend.

Got the backing made, borders on the quilt top, and batting sewn, then all loaded on the long arm and some quilting done. Love it when I can participate in these quilting weekends. I do get so much done because I make quilting a priority. DH is even getting dinner ready.

Christine- that looks just right for a teenage boy.

quiltingshorttimer- sorry to hear about the delay. I hope it gets resolved quickly.

I had forgotten about this weekends VQW. Yesterday I shopped the skinny bolts on the Quilt In A Day website and ordered some light and medium blenders in blues and greens to replenish my stash. Today I’m working on getting a quilt blocked and reorganizing one of my scrap drawers. No piecing or quilting today, but tomorrow I’ll pull a UFO off the pile to work on.
