The fabric on the left is for the shoulder bag, the quilt on the right is the wedding gift. The bride wanted gold, mint, grey and white. I was trying to go for a modern look, and am just not feeling it. However, I will push through. Happy sewing to the rest of you!

What fun to see what you all are doing. My younger daughter was married 2 weeks ago. There was a lot of DIY crafting.
They are in California. I have returned to NYC, with wonderful memories. I'll start a big pile of felt brown bear ornaments to honor my new family. And start a new lap quilt. Christmas is less than 6 months away!

I've gotten the center of the first quilt done and now am stymied on what to do about borders. I'm toying with either a dark green or purple for a narrow inner border and either a tone-on-tone peach for the outer (to match the peach in the blocks) or a green tone on tone floral. Decisions, decisions.

phranny love the design.
Taking a break, forced. Bad cut on index finger, lft hand, like a deep paper cut. With this much blood there won't be infection.
Been making lots of progress. finished a top that can be a pattern for a cuddle quilt. took lots of pictures.
Finally updated my computer. Need hubby help to learn updating photos. Maybe tomorrow am when we're both fresh.
Another project is a group effort, 7 of us. It's the Meux home & Dr. office in Fresno ca,circa 1850. The last of my doors & windows are going on now. A few pieces will be added after the 7 pieces are stitched together. Finally, it's looking acceptable to be with the other pieces. SUCCESS.
Looks like I can bandage my hand & go back to playing/working: plorking

Here we are in the cutting room. Design board with Bonnie Hunter En Provence in a not quite done state. That will be what I will be working on. I need 14 more green/green/yellow hourglasses. Also need the ladder to get to the top of the design board and pin that thing on there properly.

Hi everyone! Love VQW! Not sure what I will get accomplished as I am in the middle of cataract surgeries. Had my right eye done on Wednesday and the left next Wednesday. So far, so good, but starting Monday I have to ditch my left contact lens and wear my ancient eyeglasses with the right lens removed. So not sure how well I can see when that happens.
I rearranged the sewing room this week and made room for a new (to me) craft cabinet. I will try to get a picture posted of that.
Still working on my Jacqueline de Jonge quilt - had to put it aside for vacation time and the eye thing.

belfrybat - this is not my pattern - I found it in a book called Pre cut Primer, I'm working at the 5th grade level, lol. Each quilt gets more difficult, just like grade school. Here's a picture of the book.
