I'm off to a much beyond needed day of therapy. I will be heading to a quilt show in Lebanon OH this afternoon. On my way, I need to stop at a fabric store to get backing for a project i've been working on since Christmas. The original plan was to use some fabric that i had for the backing, but the top is much more involved than i thought (and that's ok), but it deserves a backing that is picked out just for the top, not just some stuff I have in my stash.

I guess i get a little OCD about my quilts! LOL!!

the Lebanon show is in a new place, so i am looking forward to going. I also hear that there will be displays of hand-quilted quilts, my personal favorite.

Here's the finished center. I have the border to do, which will also be using log cabin blocks. It's a Judy Martin pattern.

A broken back! Oh dear... I hope you take it easy and heal up well.

I've never participated in a VQW before, but I will seriously consider it, especially since I have 4 baby quilts that I really, really need to sandwich to get ready for quilting. I've been putting it off for a while, taking on other projects for a Fair in June, but for my piece of mind I need to get them sandwiched and my sandwiching fairy seems to be on a permanent vacation.

Becca, that Judy Martin pattern is so unusual... It's like bargello blocks. I like it! Never saw anything like it before.

First time I'm able to join the VQW. Am working on an Attic Window quilt for one of my grandsons. Got everything cut out yesterday and plan to start piecing today.

I've started some NY Beauty blocks. The points are paper pieced. I've decided I'll need to applique the curvy pieces as they don't look that nice if I curvy-piece them on to the pointy pieces.

Break time, have all the inner border attached, now sewing the three strips together, have 2 of 7 ready for the outer boarder. Have to run to the shop and pick up more, found out that I'm 1/4 yard short.

It sounds like there are a few first time VQWers this weekend, welcome! I finished two more quilts--I'm so happy! Although it looks like it is the same quilt, it's two different ones I had 25 blocks I won at a guild meeting so I made two quilts with them. I think they were 20 inch, they're big blocks! Now I'm working on an applique project.

I love seeing what everyone is working on.
