I really enjoy seeing the gorgeous projects on VQW. All are fantastic! The La Passacaglias are amazing. Sewbizgirl, love your scrappy quilt - great way to use that candy.

This is what I've been working on today - large center applique from "Little Cowboy" by Amy Bradley. Just fused at this point, stitching will happen tomorrow. Will eventually be twin size. Hope to have it done by the time I visit my DGS in Alabama next month.

Is it too late to join? I missed a whole day here but today I did finish the quilt for my mom's birthday coming up. Now for the label. And I've already pulled out fabrics for the next quilt. One with no deadline. Gotta love those! I'm all caught up and now anything I finish is just for fun. I'll start the label and then take a pic or 2. Thanks!

It is beautiful, how big is it going to get? Love EPP currently doing a GFG that was my DH'S grandma's but that is another WIP.

Today I picked out 1000 2 1/2" candy-pieces to sew into 40 blocks. I'm doing the BD candy swap QAL which started yesterday. Tomorrow I will start to sew the blocks. Then I will finish putting together an I-spy quilt for my quild. If I have time I want to cut out scrap strips to make strip scrappy quilt blocks for my guild.

Just googled "La Passacaglia" I think I will put it on my bucket list, I can image the possibilities. Time for a little wine, and maybe a read, DH will be back in a few hours, I have all 7 of the memory quilts ready for the out side border. Will leave the borders for tomorrow. I will also do the baking in the morning, just not energetic enough for baking tonight. Just thinking 28 seams to go and the 8 quilts are ready for the long arm.

Raggiemom thank you for a great weekend!

The small squares are 1.5", making the blocks about 9". Although I have to say that getting all the blocks to be the same size has been the big challenge with this quilt for this newbie! As usual, I'd know in hindsight what I would do differently next time...

It sure will be fun having Bonnie Hunter at your meeting! I love her quilts, although this is the first one I attempted.

Here's a little bit of what I got done this weekend. Hoping to get another section completed today, plus a UFO quilted. Hopefully I'm not being overly optimistic
