I may work on a basket weave quilt for my granddaughters big girl bed....at least until NASCAR comes on today...then I'll go back to it again.

They put in 3 stitches -- numbing the finger was by far the worst part! I was out in an hour, a record time for an ER visit. But the big ole bandage will keep me out of the sewing room tonight. I was just beginning to cut for a new quilt, too, fudge, darn, and phooey!

Sewbizgirl, I'm sorry to hear about your sister in law. The turtles and dolphins quilt is going to be lovely.

Just finished quilting a t-shirt quilt for a friend. Its been sitting on my frame all summer from lack of interest. Sure glad she wasn't in a big hurry though I'm sure she'd like it done sometime in this century. Next I need to piece a couple backings for 2 quilt tops for twins born in July. Also need to get started piecing the leftover scraps for the stuffed elephants that go with the quilts. Did the same for their older brother who just turned 2 back in March. Other than that I'm going to enjoy the nice weather we're having here in Iowa. Cooler temps with a nice breeze. Great walking weather so need to take advantage of it while I can before the winter sets in.

Wow! some neat pictures. I'm amazed at the talent it takes for needle turn. I did a little bit of it and that is too much for me.

Jan - hope you heal up fast, that sound nasty! I've never cut myself with the rotary cutter, and never sewed through my finger. I've been told I couldn't call myself a Seamstress until I've sewed my finger. If that is the case, I'll be fine never calling myself a seamstress LOL!!

This morning I finished up the rows that fit on the design wall. I'm going to move them up and finish this set. I think I have 5-6 more blocks down to go, and there are three more vertical rows I'll work on when these are all done. I was going to switch gears, but I've got a good system going with these. If I put them away, I'll probably forget everything and have to relearn it all.
