Great pictures! I cooked all day Wednesday, and we had friends and family over on Thursday. Friday we pipit up Christmas lights. I spent a few hours on Saturday sorting and cleaning. I even did a deep cleaning on the serger, the Bernina 440, and the Featherweight. Oil, lube, even new rubber feet on the Featherweight! I also did the first round of binding on 8 placemats, but I still need to do the sexond stitching on them. Sunday after church I started on a baby quilt for my daughter's upcoming baby. I got 16 pieces of fabric pressed and 125 2" strips cut out. The quilt is an adorable elephant that is all strip pieced, so tomorrow I start the piecing and sub-cutting. I want to get it completed before Christmas if at all possible in preparation for her shower in early January.

I finished a couple quilts over the weekend so I'm happy! I'm glad so many of you were able to fit in some quilting over the holiday. Hope to see you all again in a few weeks at our regular VQW December 16-18.

Raggiemom, thanks for hosting this VQW... I'm off today as well, so I'm still doing some stuff.
I've spent most of this morning on my longarm, working on some "basket-weave" quilting on my guild Challenge quilt. It will be interesting to see how it turns out once it's washed.

I'm heading out a little later today to have my Viking Designer1 get some TLC. I've had her for 10 years, and could never bear to part with her long enough to do this. I just recently bought another Viking from a guild member, so now I won't have to go into "sewing machine withdrawal" while the D1 is being serviced.
I set up the "new-to-me" machine Saturday morning, and she runs like a champ!!
The best part is, both machines use the same feet/attachments, so I'm really happy with that.

I finished the binding on the giraffe baby quilt - can't wait to gift it to my son and DIL! Baby is coming in 30 days and the nursery is still in boxes and totes, maybe this will help them figure out how to decorate lol

Kathy, the giraffe quilt turned out adorable!! I love it, and I'm sure the new parents (and baby) will also. Thank you for sharing with us.

I know I'm late, but this is what I worked on over the VQW at Thanksgiving. Its for the receptionist in our office building who is retiring this month. I haven't made a whole quilt in ages, so I was happy with the way it turned out. I used Marti Mitchell's quilting in sections to do the quilting. I wanted to try out her method to see if I'm going to use it to quilt the king sized quilt I'm doing for our bed.

It's actually straight. I hung it on the design wall quickly at lunch so I could take a picture.
