Weird idea- would it work to spray baste using a big window?
Have been trying to figure out how I could do a wall for spray basting and this popped into my head. Tell me if you think this would work. I have a huge smooth window. Could I starch the heck out of the backing and tape it securely to the window then use 505 to complete the sandwich? Would really be great if I could make this work! What do you think, or am I off my rocker missing something obvious?

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I have small house without the floor space to sandwich a big quilt or room for a big table to do it so I use the wall space. I use painters tape to tape the backing to the wall along the top, then tape the batting up, then pin the top to the batting and backing. It's much easier to do this way and no getting a back ache from pinning on a table or the floor.

I used the wood casing around my garage door. I used push pins to attach the backing to the wood and then sprayed the backing and put the batting on. I pinned the batt to the back along the top. I sprayed the batt and put on the top. It worked well since it was only a baby quilt but I don't know if the push pins would be strong enough for a bigger quilt. You might have the same problem using tape with trying to spray baste in front of your window.

I have seen videos of sandwiching by hanging the quilt on a wall. I always thought it made sense but don't have enough blank wall space to try it. Seems like a window would work as good as a wall if you can keep all the layers stuck up there without falling down.
