I love your positive and creative use of your time.
When I had an active medical practice I was able to get several of my patients reading more. As they found out I was an avid reader they would bring their books to our appointments and then I'd make a point to briefly discuss with them what they were reading. The waiting room discussions were a hoot too.

I believe the blocks come out to be either 4" or 4 1/2" There are books and software to make this quilt and it gives you the history of the quilt.

Well, certainly the others waiting you are not quilters. Now if I had been there, we would have been friends quickly and had a myriad of things to talk about. Then again ~ you probably would not have accomplished a lot. I will be anxiously awaiting pics of you progress.
