I have found if I use a cool iron on my batting with a pressing cloth it helps get rid of those really troublsome creases.

I throw a wrung out wet tea towel in the dryer with mine and it works pretty good. I never pre wash my batting but I do put it in the dryer to relax it. I do my polyester clothing that way too. The only thing my iron touches usually is my quilting projects. I did enough ironing when I was young and everything was made of cotton.

I steam the snot out of my batting - I hold the iron just above the batting and let her rip!

If I forget to lay mine out..which is always..I just throw it in the dryer for about 5 min. If you don't have the space for that ~ misting lightly and hanging it to dry using clip hangers sounds like a good idea..

I'd love to hear about how you like your sit down Sweet 16. I'm thinking of getting one. Was there a big learning curve or did your skills from quilting on your regular sewing machine translate right away?

Thanks for any comments!

I hold the iron above the creases and allow the steam to penetrate, smooth it a little with my hands, then just let it lie to flatten for a while. The creases don't come out completely but the top and backing hold them flat.

I usually mist creased batting with a spray bottle that has a fine stream. then toss it in the dryer for a while. It usually comes out fine.
