I also listen to Coast-to-coast radio. I have a pillow speaker, so that it doesn't disturb DH. Sometimes it's so uninteresting that I go right back to sleep.....but sometimes it's so interesting I'm even wider awake having to listen to it. Can't win!!

Turn on the tv and find a show that I am not interested in. Then turn it so low, its difficult to hear. Usually puts me back to sleep.

I can't sleep more than about 3 hrs due to back pain. Have to keep changing position & moving, so I get up and start sewing or doing correspondence on the computer to catch up. Sometimes I'll doze a bit in my recliner. Sometimes not...

What a treasure that he came back home to check on you.
I must admit, I was surprised and quite touched he showed up so worried (most of the time he tunes me out at the house lol, so I felt really loved even if my heart was jumping out of me), but his first wife died in her sleep - she had a bad night, and he didnt wake her (she was already dead - he didnt know) when he went to work in the early AM, then he called and called her all day and thought she was w/ her mom Christmas shopping! came home, kitchen flooded, cereal floating all over, water running in the sink, all the burners on at the stove (his 2yo tried to make breakfast)Now, he calls me every day several times when hes away.

My hubs 1 dropped dead bending over to pick up a bag of lime at a farm store - dead before he hit the ground, so I worry like crazy when hubs 2 is away - he takes lots of BP stuff and I'm always afraid he'll get lightheaded and fall in the lake and drown - sharet

I only get up to pee and then go right back to sleep. As a matter of fact, I don't even open my eyes.
