I didn't know that there are rules and even if I did, I'm sure I'd break them just to be arbitrary....

My DH says that is my middle name. :)

What rules? Quilting is the one place in my life that I totally look away from anything that appears to be a rule. Sure, I close the rotary cutter, etc. but it is the time that if I want to put fabrics that are not coordinated together, I do. I change patterns to suit my wants. It is a time of total freedom of creation!

I rarely follow a pattern exactly. Like doing my own thing.......right or wrong.

Rules? There's rules? Must have been absent the day "They" handed out the rules.

I will probably not sell any quilts in the future. I made one for my friend's daughter at the request of the mom. She only paid me for the material. Not one penny for my time. Am I surprised? Yes. She said she would pay me for my time. Apparently not.

That's TERRIBLE!!!!! I guess you should have specified exactly how much...of course hindsight is always 20/20.

Rules? What rules? Why listen to how someone else thinks you should do a quilt? Make you own rules and do it the way you want to!
