I have am allergic to many battings and therefore I bind my quilt before I quilt it.

I use whatever fabric I like, not necessarily all from LQS. If Walmart has something pretty.......and nice......I use it. No one that I give my quilts to cares a hoot about where the fabric comes from. And I hope they use it until it falls apart. That's why I make quilts, I can close the door to the police!
