I love scraps. I put mine in a big basket and then cut them into strips, I think scrappy quilts are beautiful.

You could send those boxes to me. All I make is scrap quilts. Its really a chore cutting up all that yardage into scrap sizes. My DH thinks I'm crazy but he loves my quilts.

I make scrappy quilts with my scraps. I could make many with the amount of scraps I have. This is my favorite.

I am working on another one now but have a long way to go before I use them up.
I would gladly swap with other quilters.

I make my share of scrap quilts and love 'em! When the scraps get ahead of me I give them to our Lutheran Churches here in town. They make comforters for their missions, the police dep't., fire dep't., and the people in town who need extra care.
I can't keep up with them many times, and this keeps my closet cleaned out!

Currently I'm using mine to make my Farmer's Wife Sampler blocks 'til I run out. Then I'll have to come up with a plan in order to finish it.

I am making a string quilt to use more of my strips. The "nibbles" that I trim are going into a bag for a pet bed for the local vet's office which serves as the local Humane Society. I try to waste nothing.

Jenny Doan at Missouri Quilts has a tut for making strip quilts with scraps. Really neat.

I'm fairly new in this little town and have yet to find another quilter though I know they're hiding somewhere here. I finally have all my scraps in their respective plastic bin by width. I'm in the process of making 2 lap quilts using the Craftsy BOM 2012 March blocks. I made my 1st scrappy quilt back in 2009, a Bonnie Hunter pattern and fell in love with scrappy. I was always the organized one so this was out of my comfort zone. Now I may do controlled scrappy but its still scrappy. Getting ready to make a Jewel Box quilt using various shades of purples and greys with creme as the background. This is someone's choice of colors. So I'm going thru my scraps as well as what's on my shelves to make this up for her.
