I do this as well! Right now I am using my 1.5 inch squares as leaders and enders, and sometimes I even take the smaller than 1.5" pieces and sew together for random crumb pieces. Everything I can't sew together goes into a pet bed.

I keep everything and try to use it all! Of course they are almost all wip's or ufo's but i think that counts.

On National Quilting Day about 30 members of our Guild gathered, along with an abundance of scraps--mostly strips, and "knocked out" at least 8 charity quilts. We had decided to make string quilts and made several for Quilts of Valor and other charities we support. It was a blast and I would encourage any Guild or other group to do the same.

I make a lot of scrappy quilts and eventually will give them away. I also make doll quilts which I give to my church for the Chtristmas party we hold for the underpriveleged. I am amazed at how quickly the scraps pile up. I ise them, but I never seem to get rid of them, the pile keeps getting bigger and bigger!

This is a link to how to use scraps done by Jenny Doan on MSQC you tube. Easy for sure.

I use a lot of scraps for "Crumb quilting" see Bonnies site http://quiltville.blogspot.co.uk/200...bs-crumbs.html After that I do that but I also include everything like small bits of batting/threads etc. if I can get them away from my Fur-baby

I buy, from Charity shops, or beg old pillowcases, line a waste bin that is next to my quilting table and everything gets chucked in there, when full enough I sew the top closed and there you have a really useful item.

Uses for them are cheapy garden seat pads to keep the cold from you, they are also useful for the car to keep the Fur Babies paws from marking the seats, etc. etc. I DON'T WASTE ANYTHING!

Here's one that I made for Muffin, dirty but I had to make another one before washing it
