What do you do with your small strips or pieces of batting?

Same here. A quick stitch to another piece. Saves time. You can always cut to size later.
I save strips even its about 1 inch . It take very little time to butt the edges together and make a piece large enough for small totes, pot holders. I don't wait until I get a lot .. once I trim a quilt , what ever gets trimmed gets "merged" into one bigger piece. Its a lot easier to store/ use the merged pieces when the time comes.
I started doing this when I realized the time it would take to go to the store and purchase a batting was more than the time it takes to "merge" the pieces. Plus I save $$.

I save them unless they're really tiny. They're always good for stuffing, plus if they're large enough to be pieced, they can be used for smaller projects or if I need just a little more for a larger project.

I give my batting scraps to a lady who uses them to stuff teddy bears that she gives to the local police dept. Each officer carries one or two in his car and if he is called to a domestic situation he gives one to the child.

I was given a box of 1/4" plastic tubes that looked like candy canes. I wrapped strips of batting around the tubes and secured the ends. Then brushed on glue and dusted with mica. Antique candy canes tied with rafia and a bit of Holly! sold them at our Bazaar!

I save and use for purses, wall hanging and table runners and potholders and on and on, i don't throw much away and my space here is full. IT is hard to find what you need sometimes. I don't keep the batting in the fabric cabinets because it would take up to much room. I do zig zag pieces together but think I would like to get some of that tape and use to put the bigger pieces together.
