I listen to the sounds of my machine purring along...sometimes I do plug in my ipod and listen to some Twila Paris, Rich Mullins and others. but the hum of the machine is music on most nights.
    Blessings,

I just love current affairs , and what is
happening in the world , so the radio
never moves from the BBC , and they dont
have advert either . Just love it. Makes
me very scure in my little sewing world.

Listen to my little daschund, Cookie, peacefully snoring on her own quilt in the sewing room with me. I rarely turn on the radio because I don't want to wake her! It's a very calming, peaceful sound!

I listen to books on tape or CD from the library. I "reread" all of the Harry Potter books this way. I think the reader of the HP books did an excellent job! I've caught up on quite a few classics this way. I've noticed that when I have a really good book going, I spend a lot more time sewing.
When I'm measuring or needing to think, I think I listen to my own voice.

usually listen to local radio station to catch news that i never have time to read in paper - plus they play oldies and have radio contests that are interesting to try to win (won once! a free dinner at a local restaurant!) Sometimes listen to mindless sitcoms like Seinfeld, The Office, etc. Have seen them so many times don't have to really concentrate on them. Oh, and Mama Mia - have done that also when no one is home to hear my horrible singing!

Books on cd are my favorite to listen to. Usually one I have already read or heard before so that I don't have to worry about missing the details.

I like almost all music but I have to say I love to sew on Saturdays and listen to The Prairie Home Companion and to Car Talk. Those guys crack me up! Books on tape are also good and keeps me sewing longer, especially if it's a good mystery.

I am with you great aunt jacqui, I like to have the T.V. on for noise more than programs but there are a few shows I like to watch. Antique Roadshow, Murder mysteries, How a crime was solved etc. but if there is nothing on I do like silence if you call living next the the highway silent.
