I switch to knitting or crochet projects when I watch TV.

Wine & chocolate sounds good, Jan. I uaually work on my hexies so have a plastic case I bought at Michaels which holds needles, thread, scissors, fabric squares, paper templates, etc. My theory is hand sewing while watching tv keeps me from snacking but that does not always work. ha ha

I always have something laying next to my chair in the family room. I am currently binding a queen quilt by hand (yes, by hand, like doing the fold over after I sew the binding on with the machine) and also, pinning pieces together to sew on the Featherweight. I keep a small pair of scissors, pins, needles and hand quilting thread along with a magic marker.

HaHa Jan! I was going to say a bottle of beer and some chips. I cannot concentrate on a TV show and a hand project at the same time. Plus, these days, I need more light than my chair lamp provides. I think I'll stick with the beverage and snack.

Recently, my hand sewing has been limited to sewing on binding. I bound 3 quilts last week. For that, my small square box contains Thread Heaven, a spool of thread to match the binding, a spool of white thread for sewing on the label, 2 needles, my small KAI scissors, clip on magnifying glasses, and my thimble. I have a separate container for the Wonder clips as I remove them.

A bowl if ice cream or a cup of tea. I do not care to hand sew anything, I try to do everything on the machine.

Wow Lynn. I can not imagine the hours of hand work you have already put into your project..great satisfaction I am sure.
