It is handmade not hand stitched. There is a difference. You did make it by hand. As long as it has hand made & not hand stitched, it would be fine.

Maybe "HOME SEWN" instead of handmade? Just a thought.......

How do you differentiate between hand made and machine quilted hand made?

If YOU made it, it is hand-made - as distinguished from commercially (factory)-made. It's sort of cumbersome to have to put "Hand Pieced/Machine Quilted". People who make hand-made pottery use a potter's wheel, and their wares are still hand-made. Ditto for boot makers and hat makers. Almost every craft these days employs some kind of mechanical aid somewhere in the process. How generous of you to make it for the raffle.

I agree with Alondra.

You made it. Your brain, created it and put it together. Machine made.. Is a machine that does the thinking and all the work!

I piece with my machine, but my machine CANNOT function with out me, it cannot do anything on its own. It is mearly a tool I use.
Now then, My machine also does embroidery. I do not say its embroidery is hand made. The machine does ALL the work. all i do is change out thread, big whoop. I push a button and its done.
So unless you push a button and Voila you got a quilt.. it was hand made!

Where I'm from you can only say handmade if it was pieced and quilted by hand. You can say home made as long as there is no commercial activity involved.

Seems to me it is handmade. I think hand sewn means sewn by hand without a machine. However, with that said it is hand made by using a machine too. I always have my hands all over the place when ever I make anything.
