Take a yard and a half of fabric and unfold it.......take another yard and a half of a coordinating fabric and cut it lenghwise and also at the fold which gives you 4 pieces for the border. Place the border pieces on the length sides first then the top and the bottom and you got a quilt top. Tie it or quilt it and bind it and wala. I've completed one of these in 12 hours before.

It was a marathon 12 hours....it was a last minute birthday gift for my 90 year old aunt and her birthday party was the next day......lol.

I would suggest quilt in a day! It is total reverible, because you quilt as you go.you can get a throw done in about 8 hrs. That is cutting fabric, batting, and sewing together!! It was the first quilt I made, and also my at the time 8 yr old son made!!

OK found it. Check out this site

    http://www.sewvac1.com/Library/serger_baby_quilt.htm

The only thing I change is I use 6 in. for the width of each strip.

I like Eleanor Burns' 9 Patch Toss. It looks like you've put a lot of work into it but it's so fast and easy.

Easiest one I've done was the first one I did. It had black and white nine patches alternating with red solid blocks that were the same size as the nine patches.
