Hello from another Dee, here in Ut I they are still on thursday on our PBS station. I noticed yesterday on channel 345 Quilt in A Day isn't on.
Oh why don't we have a voice in all these changes? Quilt shows & fabric at walmart slowly disappearing...we are slowly becoming a rare breed, but looking at the number of members here I just don't see that happening.

Oh all the darn home improvement shows! I love to watch these shows but not 24/7.

I haven't been able to find any sewing or quilting
programs on the two PBS stations that we can
get here. Too many cooking shows. I like cooking,
but would rather see some quilting.

Our PBS canceled ALL our sewing shows. Said there was more demand for children's cartoons than sewing shows. Is there something wrong with this thinking? Do children buy from their auctions or donate money? I no longer support ant PBS programs nor do I donate during their fund raisers. And I told them so. Most of my other sewer buddies have done the same.

I was a member of the Fons and Porter and received their magazine --- I started to see that a lot of their notions are in the clearance section and I am not sure when my membership will run out -- I have received their magazine pretty sporadic. I won't renew if they ever send out a renewal since I can't justify the cost vs the content.

I am considering joining the Alex group since they seem to have a lot of activity and great ideas.

We get them daily and on the Sunday. The Sunday ones are reruns and the daily ones must be newer as they are using the Bernina 830 or the very expensive addition to the Bernina line. We also get on Sundays many other quilt, sewing and crafting shows on our local PBS. When I make my pledge each year during their drive I tell them it is because of these shows.

My PBS station provides program listings on the internet--easy way to locate times. When I donate, I also receive a program guide for the month via snail mail and a yearly survey asking about my viewing preferences. Program choices depend on $, do you know a LQS or Machine store that will sponsor a sewing program? I do know of one place that has a large quild that helps provide $ to keep sewing/quilting videos on the air.
