Except for the first 4 I didn't pay much for any of them....but I've been collecting for a long time. I've been noticing that the Bernina's are very popular with this group and I'd like to get one....used most likely. I would like to experience what most folks think is soooo wonderful. I would love to trade my 31-15 and my FW for an older model mechanical Bernnie. I should learn to sell on ebay and just sell them....maybe someday.....

I don't think I would ever spend more than $2000 on a new domestic machine. I just don't think they are worth more than that. Sewing machines are grossly overpriced IMHO.

At some point I'd like to get a real serger and an inexpensive embroidery machine that I would likely buy used from my Janome dealer. I'm not cheap...I'm thrifty!!

i have a singer futur a quater4 in 1 sewing machine do embroidered and another thing to like font it computer with software i also have a brother computer 6000 and another simpler brothersewing machine praise thee

I hav a Brother serger, a vintage kenmore, which is a workhorse a Singer quilter and a Singer Embroidery machine. I am happy with what I have. Maybe some day I wiil get crazy and get one of thoe real expensive ones. LOL!

I bought a Bernina 440 several years ago, , with the embroidery module.....LOVE it , then found i needed another machine to use while i am embroidering, so purchased last month with the great financing deals they offer , a Bernina 820... my dream is complete and i am the happiest woman alive.

I have a Viking 6020 that my husband bought for me in 1969 when I was pregnant with my 3rd and was homebound with pneumonia. Still love it and it still does everything I need to do. It sewed everything from underwear to snowmobile suits in the past and now does mostly quilt piecing and a little freemotion. I'm still learning that. I also have two Singers from the early 1950s that my husband bought home from auctions. One is 3/4 sized. They are both in very nice cabinets and the auctioneer could not get a bid on either of them so he gave them to my husband. The both do a very nice straight stitch but I don't really have room to have more than one machine open so they mostly sit in a corner. I bought a Viking Juliet from the family of a cousin who passed away and gave it to my daughter. Don't think she's used it yet but we are traveling to Ohio to visit her next week and she has asked if I'd give sewing lessons to her and a friend. Can't wait!

I have several vintage machines--Singer Featherweight, Red Eye, a Domestic, a New Home, a White, a Viking 21 and 21A (my favorite) and a JC Penney (made in Japan) from the 80s. I service them all myself and I rarely have to do more than clean them and run them regularly to keep them humming. I would love to have a new expensive machine with all of the bells and whistles and I'd also love to have a long arm machine. Truthfully, though, I've never come across any sewing project so far that my oldies but goodies couldn't handle other than complex embroidery.
