I much prefer the first pic. In my humble opinion, you will be doing your beautiful fabrics an injustice to mix them all up. Also, you run the risk of it looking tooooo busy, tooooo jumbled, tooooo scrappy! There are many patterns that are lovely in scraps . . . but this bento does not please the eye all mixed up. Just one among many opinions, I know, but the first blocks are so pretty and when you mix the boxes, you will have variation anyway. Thanks for reading and considering.

When I blur my eyes to look at your fabric selection, while they obviously have different tonal values they all "read" to me as being harmonious...except for the third fabric from the left on the bottom row. I can see splashes of colors that relate to your other choices and why you might have chosen it, but unless it is just the way the batik is folded and when it is used it reads as a better fit...IMHO I would look to replace it. I fear that if you use this fabric, it is so saturated in color that it will draw the eye to those blocks first and not to the quilt as a whole and for this reason you might consider another choice?
I thought 1, 2,and 3 in the top row and 1 and 3 in the bottom row - went well together because they all had intense coloring. The gold/bronze of 3 in the bottom row might catch one's eye first, though.

Indeed they are all lovely, though my personal preference is number 2. Choose what you like the most, it will be a terrific quilt whichever way you go. Looking forward to see the completed project.

All the blocks are sewn and here are three options:

1 - all the same colour (my personal preference)

2 - only the "white" edges turned 180 degrees

3 - both of them (the white and coloured edges) turned 180 degrees

Thoughts? I want to put this together tomorrow!!!! LOL

And THANKS SO MUCH for all the comments, I truly appreciate them!

I like the first (of post #46) one the best. I think it has a better visual flow.
The other two seem sort of disjointed to me.

Sometimes one has to try all of the versions/variations to eliminate them.

Definitely one, except fix the lower left corner, that one turn in the light blue. Nice job, nice choice of colors.
