I am shocked that there others who do not like certain aspects of quilting. Ty for sharing, all of you. Now I don't feel so bad. I don't like cutting either, end up wasting so much fabric, but i do love designing my own quilts - mostly for my great grandchildren. I am fairly new at this, so the designs are kind of primitive, but certainly unique.

I dislike the layering of the quilt sandwich. I put it off forever and now have a stack of quilt tops needing to be sandwiched and quilted.

    Creating a bare spot -

Things have a way of accumulating on horizontal surfaces - ( of course they got there all by themselves!)

I hate basting and wish there was a machine you could feed the 3 layers into and it would come out basted.

the actual quilting part of it. I love piecing. it's all math for me, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. But after the top is done, it sits until I get really bored then I finish. i might need a longarm, that might change my mind

I dislike putting on the binding and something so silly; changing the blade in my rotary cutter.

I don't like doing the quilting and basting very much. Everything up to that point is OK and I don't mind doing the binding. I like sewing the binding on the back while watching TV in the evenings.
