I would make various churn dash blocks and use the large scale paisley as the center for each. A sampler of sorts. Each block would use different combinations of the fabrics.

Could be interesting ... and also do an assortment of sizes of the churn dash blocks!

I think I would be tempted to make half square triangles, with half light, half dark on most blocks, maybe a smaller percentage light to light or dark to dark. Then I'd have fun playing around with a lot of different settings on a design wall.

Here is an online free tutorial for Trip Around The World. http://www.ludlowquiltandsew.co.uk/free-quilt-and-sew-patterns/free-quilt-pa

But to be honest, I would buy Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day Trip Around the World pattern. That pattern was my first quilt, and I found it very easy to follow. Here's a link to her pattern:

While I like boxed squares quilts, I think they look best with batiks or tonal blendy fabrics. The fabrics pictured by the thread author are quite traditional, and I think they would be most pleasing in a very traditional block with fairly small pieces-- 9 patches, hst, log cabins, the like.

I made a quilt with similar fabrics. The pattern is A Little Northwind by Carole Charles of Primitive Gathering.

It is the third quilt pictured here, http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t184211.html

you have a nice selection of fabrics in that grouping, I'm sure they will marry well no matter what pattern you choose. Good luck.

Your fabrics are mostly civil war reproduction so any traditional block like churn dash or even a sampler would work nicely. Look up civil war patterns...of course i can't think of any designers off the top of my head. Oh yeah, Lori Smith is one who uses alot of these fabrics.

I like this. Also depending on your yardage you might need more brown. I also think any two tone quilt pattern would work but I especially think one with a traditional block would look nice because the prints are CW.
