I think it has to be The Great Circle Quilt from the booklet Aunt Martha's Favorite Quilts, ca. 1953.
That's according to Jinny Beyer's Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns. She says it's drafted on a 12 x 12 grid. It looks as if the blocks are set on point on your quilt.

I would call it crossed canoes. Very nice.

I don't think it is the Aunt Marhta's. It is made with the trianle and this quilt is curved and after seeing the winding ways pattern posted above, I would agree to that. The color pacement changes the effect of the pattern and can fool the eye. Thanks for posting the patern of WWs

ube, I went and checked and I believe you're looking at a different Aunt Martha block. Here's a photo of the pattern for The Great Circle Quilt. Its seams are curved. [ATTACH=CONFIG]432983[/ATTACH]
