When I was younger,I used the round circle thing and ballons. Now that I have arthritic hands, I'm grateful for needle pullers and pliers.

I use a piece from a rubber glove and also carry I small pair of pliers in my quilting basket. I have seen small round disc that you use like the piece of rubber glove.

they sell them at clotilde.com they are called needle pullers to make it easier on your hand

The needle pullers I've seen before are a great help. This one looks even easier to use.
