What type of stool/chair do you use while quilting?

no saddle for me
thought I needed (wanted) a saddle chair, bought an adjustable one and can only sit on it a few hours till my back starts hurting. Now it sits all alone with no one to use it catching dust. No saddle for me.

I have tried two different drafter's chair and because I'm short I find them hard to get onto...they scoot out from underneath me and I've nearly fell on my "teakettle" a number of times. I use an office chair but I get up and walk to my ironing and cutting stations. Not efficient, but it makes me change my position and move more. (I'm sitting on a non-wheeled kitchen stool as I write this and I'm wondering if this would work to make my sewing more ergonomic.)

I use an office chair with rollers & no arms. I had one with arms once but they just got in my way. My chair has height adjustment. I like it a lot. I never thought about a stool....I never lean back while sewing.

I use very nice rolling office chair that my son found in the junk pile at work. The mesh was torn in the back, so I repaired it and then made a cover to slip over the back which matched the seat fabric. I removed the arms for comfort. I love it as it is adjustable.

This is the chair I use at my sewing machine (the purple one, not the dog.) I have one of those mechanic's stools that I use when I'm cleaning out the bobbin area of my longarm. I wouldn't want to use that at my machine, though, as it rolls way too easily. Also, I often lean back in the chair at the machine to stretch my back. I'd probably forget I was on the stool and go tail over teakettle. Then I WOULD be sitting on Daisy Dog.
