    Cute block and I would go with the tote. You made her a chemo quilt to hang on to and hug so a tote to carry the things she needs or wants to take along would be a good idea.

    Maybe you could ask your friend which she would prefer - pillow or tote.

    That's really cute. If you aren't tight on time why couldn't you make both? If it were me I'd appreciate and use both. If you can only make one I'd go with the pillow. You could put a "handle" on it so she can carry it if she takes it anywhere.

    IMHO, I'd make a tote for her to carry her quilt you made, to take her Chemo. They get cold and need to wrap up so that would complete her set. Best wishes to her to become a survivor.
