Default What would you do with this fabric.

Hi!
I have this tangerine with white dot and whit with tangerine dot fabric. I am stumped as to what block/pattern I want to make. The only thing I can think of is a herringbone, but I an not sure at that! It will be backed with minky cuddle. This will be for me, and a twin size.

What are your thoughts? What block do you think it will look good in?

Thanks
Ginny

A pattern called Square within Squares II could be interesting. I think that is the name of it. I will attach a picture of one of mine and see if I can find a link for the pattern. This is the only pattern that comes to mind that uses 3 fabrics.

I am not really good at visualizing, so I will leave that part to you. Maybe it will spark your creative juices.

Those would make a fun Potato Chip quilt. You can play with the sizes of the center and outside strips to match your fabrics, but here are a couple of ours:

Circle within a square.

I think that any quilt will be too busy just using those two fabrics. I might add a white fabric to give some breathing room between these wild colors.

I love working with 2 fabrics that are just the opposite of each other. I've made simple checkerboards, D9P with either a white or black as the center block and rail fences. My personal preference is just the 2 fabrics. They're wonderful....and orange is my favorite color!

I like the idea of adding white to tone down the coordinating fabrics, just a little. Maybe a shadow quilt?

I'd use these fabrics to make a tumbler quilt with the bright blocks tumbler up and the white blocks tumbler down. I have made several tumblers and they look best with two colors rather than many. If the dots are really large, I'd use a larger tumbler template.

It calls for something happy, like an orange Minnie Mouse quilt.
