I'd like to see a narrow black frame before you start the other borders and blocks. To me that would really set it off.

I may be too late for discussion, but a possibility would be to cut the deer and tree border off and then fussy cut them to make blocks around the center deer--then add border

That is what I thought of as soon as I saw this panel. I'm sure it would be beautiful, whatever you decide to do.

I had a panel similar to this, I used it once just bordered it and FMQ. I had more, but really hated it, so I gave it away so I didn't have to see it anymore.
