I bought this a few months ago at Hobby Lobby from the clearance bin. I'm going to be in my church's Christmas Craft sale come Nov. I'm not sure what to do with it. It's 35" x 42" and each square is 16 3/4" x 16 3/4". Do I keep it intact and add to it to make a lap quilt. Do I take it apart & make a table runner or wall hanging? What would you do with it? Thanks for your input.

Oh I just bought some of the companion prints for that... I am sure of it. I had never been to a hobby lobby and went a few weekends ago..when I was out of town. I just couldn't turn down Jesus Fabric.... How often do we see that?

I would cut them up and make each square a focal point in a bigger block and make a quilt from it. I am sure it would sell in a heartbeat! Especially with Christmas coming.

I envision it as a wall hanging. Take the four squares and arrange vertically with horizontal sashing between them. Take the sides and use them at the top & bottom. Then add borders and bind.

I would cut them apart and make each one a separate wallhanging, table topper, runner or something. They are great.

    This was my thought, too.

I use this type of pannel/pillow square to make purses out of. Use one for the front, one for the back and a nice cordinating fabrc for the sides, bottom and handle straps. Add another cordinating fabric for the inside and I close with hook and loop tape. Big and slouchy, you can drop your regular purse inside or juct carry a ton of stuff inside. People always stop me and ask me where I got my bags!! You can add batting and do a bit of quilting.....I have done a lot and none! Toss in the washer and dryer every few weeks and they are good to go.

PS....you wlll need a fairly sturdy webbing for the handles. I use a polyproplene webbing that is just about 2 inches wide and cover it with the cordinating fabric.

Jodi, I never thought of a purse or bag. Good idea. I would love to see a picture of one of your bags done from a panel. Debbie

A quilt with other fabrics with it would be lovely, though you do need to think whether the buyers will pay what it's worth? At our Church sales, it'd be well received, though would not sell, as people don't come to spend the higher $$'s!

That being said, what about one block for the centre of a lap quilt, and then other fabrics finishing out the balance of the quilt? Or centred in the backing, with the front being a quilt design.

The wall hanging ... four together vertically, would make for one large wall to cover. Most don't have that high of a space to use it.

I'd think more towards smaller ... to maximize your sales $$s! .... pillows, table runners/toppers, totes (one panel on front, and something else for the back, so you can get four), etc.

And perhaps you might want to consider .... part or all of it into hanging or table topper for placement in the Church.
