Here is where I am so far. I'm going to add a wide border of the background fabric next and add some vines & flowers to that..maybe some hearts..I'm still playing with that. Then, I'll repeat this same border (green, gold, burgundy) on the outside edge...hmmm...that is unless I decide to do a scalloped edge. I like the praire point idea that several of you have mentioned, but I don't know how to do those.

Anyway, thanks for your advice..its always appreciated!

Detail to show colors and where the trapunto will be.

Thank you! I'm working on the applique design now. I haven't done much applique and never laid one out myself..so its pretty slow. I'm trying to figure out how to do it as I go.

Hi Patti, this is the first time I have seen you quilt and it sure is beautiful.

On one of the threads you said you didnīt know how to do prairie points, these are so easy no sewing required, buts takes a bit of material.

Take a square say 5" or smaller fold it in half and then fold in half again.
Place them either within the little fold of the next prairie point or just at the tip its up to you how you do it, stitch on and your done, easy peasy lemon squeasy. LOL

Its really nice a scallop would look good too, Izy did hers and she said she took a piece of paper the length of the quilt and then folded it till she had even scallops then drew the scallops on it.

Thanks Elle, I hadn't really thought through or looked up how to do the praire points. I'm going to get the applique on, then step back and look again, then decide how to finish it up. I think I have changed my mind a hundred times while this quilt was growing
