These would make a beautiful wall hanging with matching pillows. Someone spent a great deal of time making these designs.

I vote pillows. Make 2 with the designs on the front and back, zipper on the side.

I would guess that it was intended to be a quilt that is set on point. Whether the designer intended more appliqued blocks or just plain blocks mixed in is a good question. I think I would play with them and see if I was inspired. If not, I would donate them somewhere.
