I'm with 117becca, what's the "ruler method" for folding fabric? I need all the help I can get!

Quilting a customer quilt. I say I am at "work", but this is play for me!

I am working on a Christmas quilt which I have designed myself. I have it put together in three sections to make it easier to quilt it in the ditch on my sewing machine. Kind of a disappearing 9 patch plus.

As much as I should be finishing the bed runner I'm making for my mom for her birthday, I have to finish packing for my 12 day Florida trip! I'm bringing some hand work with me and happy to return home with my mom's 1948 Featherweight in pristine condition! Her 86 year old eyes just won't let her see where to thread the needle any longer.

[QUOTE=carolaug;5565370]I finished filling up one bin, so now to my other challenge...I do two rows a day on my latch hook rug. I use 1 to 1 1/2 inch scraps. It takes a lot of fabric...totally amazed how much it does use. The rug is nice and heavy. Once done I will use rug binding or burlap on the edge. Well off to do two rows and then I can bring to quilt. ; )
I have been doing a locker hook rug also. Took a class in it at our LQS, only wish I had gone back and forth like you are doing instead of going all away around. It makes each row so long, but it's too late now, I have 8-10 rows done. Yours looks real nice. I did 1 1/4" strips and found that pressing them in half helped when I hooked it.

I have three things that NEED doing. What I intend to to do is find a candle mat pattern to make for a dear friend's birthday next week, then on to assembling some quilt blocks I finished yesterday into a top. I have a half-basted quilt that I need to get back to work on too, but that probably won't happen today. Too many tasks, not enough time, lol.
