Why not make them in the school colors? that way she will always remember, where she went?

Bright colors are nice, but I think you should ask your daughter what color she would like in a quilt if you ever made one for her. Then take it from there, use a color wheel or just look on the internet for samples of colors, quilting catalogs are a good source for color value. Have fun on your trip. I just finished a full size quilt, with matching pillow shams and a window valance, in pinks, white, lavenders and purples for my grandaughter. Am about to quilt one for my grandson, neon green/ black. This colors were their choice.

Brown, beige (or off white) with some deeper green thrown in. My favorite colors are brown (any shade) and Green (any shade), can you tell?

Purples, greens and creams. I used these colors in a quilt I made for myself several years ago and they really go together well. I have seen many other quilts using these combinations since then too.

Why don't you ask your grand daughter what her favorite colors are. Everyone has different tastes. Example: I hate browns with pinks and blues. But love .... etc, etc.

Ask her, what her fav. color is and go from there. Musslin is my favorite back. I have used colors, but always go back to musslin, the quilting shows up so pretty on it.

Or you could use various black and white prints, with her favorite color as the accent...Just a thought...Happy Easter.
