Type EMMA'S STAR in the search box on QB. It's a rail fence with stars in the sashing. Easy

My favorite quick quilt is log cabin. I especially like to use it with large patterned fabrics. Just make the center square the right size...I use 6 or 8 inches... so it utilizes the fabric's pattern, and put as many logs as you want on it so that the block turns out the size you want. On an 8 inch center square, I usually cut the logs 2 inches and just put one round on.

The Boardwalk is another easy one. I just love the way it looks.

Back in 2010 I had a quilt-along on my blog based on this quilt, and all the posts are still up. You do have to read through the posts, but there are pdf files in several of them with yardage, cutting, and piecing instructions. Just follow the numbering on the posts.

However, this is really an easy quilt to figure out. You could make the rectangles any width or length you like. The only important thing is to offset them (you don't even need to center them) so that you don't have to deal with matching seams.

I have done one and it is pretty easy and easy to adjust to whatever size you want.
