I am saving to buy a new machine... any suggestions as best time to buy.... I am thinking of Sewing Expo in March...

I would buy it at income tax time when you get your refund.

Best time to buy is at Inventory time in your store... they would rather sell than have to pay taxes on the inventory.

If you get to attend a large show where there are many vendors (International Quilt Festival, Paducah, or Sew Expo) then buying a machine there on the LAST AFTERNOON often will bring you a good price. Many vendors do not want to schlep all the machines home and will discount and/or negotiate after noon on the last day. You may not have your local shop support, necessarily, but you may find that they are also at the show!
