I even wondered if my DGS had taken it but didn't think so.
So I took down a second cutter whose blade isn't that sharp and set it on my sewing machine. Then I bent down to pickup a spool of thread that had fallen on the floor. I was pulling off thread that had gotten dog hair on it. I turned from the sewing machine and reached for a pair of scissors and when I turned back what did I see but not one cutter but TWO!!! Where in the world it came out of hiding from I do not know!!!! They are laying there face to face!!
Too funny! I have had this happen with my little curved surgical seam rippers. I have 2 and keep one near the serger and the other near the sewing machine. When I can't find one, I end up finding 2 in the same place. I live alone and the dogs don't go in my sewing space.....

Funny Story! You must have a boggart. I've done that often: looked everywhere and not seen something right under my nose. And the thing I've lost is always in the last place I look. (Haha I know - because I stop looking then.)

Fairies or elves are the only answer! Sometimes I even lose the faries under projects finished and unfinished. I try to always put those sharps in a special place, the same place every time but....OK I usually do but then I lose the Ruby Viewer, the 6 inch square or well you all know how it goes. I hear my mother’s voice in the background haze from heaven telling me “a place for everything and everything in its place.” Shhhhhh! I know, I know! I’m trying!

Glad the cutter popped up and I hope it stays where you put it next time. Does any one have elves that help them quilt at night? (Elves and the Shoemaker) I need to rent a few. Tee-Hee
