I use my kitchen counter, as it is the perfect height for me. I usually try to do all my cutting for a quilt at once. I also have one of those small cutting boards with an ironing surface on the other side that I keep on a storage footstool next to my sewing table if I need to do small amounts of cutting. I only have a small space in our bedroom for sewing. I need a kid to move out first so I can have more room!

I have a cutting table 32x56 and if I need to use my bigger mat its on the dining table.. I use the anti-fatigue mats I bought at sams and layer them two high for both areas- my ironing area and my cutting area..

I do my rotary cutting on the kitchen counter. I have a bad back & long legs - so I need to make sure that I don't bend over at too much of an angle when I cut - otherwise I am on a heating pad by night time

Kitchen counter works best for me too. I wish I had the space for a dedicated cutting area.

When I am making a quilt with fairly small pieces, I use my ironing board. I can adjust it so that I can cut without breaking my back.

I do my cutting on the dining room table using a large size mat. I put bed risers under the legs of my dining room table and it raises the table to a comfortable height. They are easy to put under the legs. A package of 4 runs about 12.00 at Bed Bath and Beyond and I think Target has them too. They make any table great on the back!

I cut mine in my sewing room. I got a great deal on a U shaped unit that came out of a library in a school on Craigs List. It is comfortable, but before I had a sewing room I did mine on the island countertop in the kitchen.

I have an island in my kitchen where I can walk around it to do my cutting.

I have a banquet table, and a big dining table that I cut on. Depends how much room I need, and if I feel like going downstairs (where the banquet table is) lol
