I resist the idea of going, however, I have made a pact with my sister to get her butt over to my house ASAP before hubby can get in to my sewing room and and clean it out. I also I'm under strict instruction to get my butt over to her house if she goes before me. There has not been a contingency plan if we were to go together. I'll have to think about that one.

Probably my daughter. She is only 8 1/2, but she likes to sew. I hope she keeps sewing!

I very much hope that you will still have many hundreds and more hours of quilting.

I hope my daughter will keep my stuff for her retirement or my granddaughter will keep it. I don't care if they put all the fabric in boxes and store it until they can use it. With prices going higher on fabric it should increase in value.

The tradition in my guild is that the stash goes to the guild to sell off for its benefit. Any UFOs are finished by the guild for the family. I have that set up in my will. A couple of members of the guild gave their stashes to the guild because they were less able now and were moving.

I think it's a good idea to make a plan for your stash. Mine would go to my one daughter and she can do whatever she likes with it.

When my neighbor found out she had terminal cancer she told me she was giving me all her fabrics. I insisted that there was no hurry and that maybe her two daughters would want it after all. They didn't, so I accepted it. I've made several things using her fabrics. My favorite is her Laurel Burch pieces. The dear lady is still with me through her fabrics.

I like your avatar, Sew Krazy Girl.

My quilting teacher died in 2003. I have one piece of her fabric left. I think of her sweetness every time I look at it. (It's a piece of counted thread cross stitch, with tiny stitches.)

Yes, that's so special. (Thanks - My avatar is the stained glass, stack/slash.)
