Lucky enough to have an extra room strictly for my sewing stuff! Every so often when DH is working for the day, I will sew in the living room and watch movies.

My sewing "room" is a laptop stand next to my bunk. I am currently living in an rv. My cutting is usually done on the picnic table outside, depending on the weather and the wind. My dream is to actually find work back home so I can go home. Haven't been in my house for more than a day for nearly 2 years.

Every room except the bathroom. I sew in the living room, cut and press in the kitchen, store fabric etc in the spare room. House is not big so have to make do.

I have a dedicated sewing room on the first floor with walk in closet. I have my long arm in there along with sewing machine, embroidery machine and cutting table, dresser for fat qtrs etc, and 2 book shelves. also downstairs I have a sewing machine and 2 design walls and a large board ironing board. I also have this area set up for retreas and can have 8 quilters.
wish we had put in a walk out basement but oh well good excersize.

I use the dining room, and computer room to sew on electric machines. Kitchen to cut. The treadle is in the foyer and that's where I use it. I have fabric in the guest room closet and dresser, notions in the guest room closet and computer room. It is very frustrating not to have everything where I need it or remember where I put it. But, I don't want to give up the guest room because people are here often enough that I'd have to put away all my quilting stuff anyway.

I am lucky enough to have a spare room that I share with my husband. He has his grandmother old school desk set up where he ties flys for fly fishing. The rest of the room is mine, all mine. I have my cutting table set up all the time. Earlier this summer I installed shelving for all my stash. My sewing machine and seger are out and ready to sew at a moments notice. I love my space and I love the fact that it is upstairs out of the way.
